The safety of vulnerable women is an immediate ethical and structural demand of the WPS agenda

የሴቶች ሰላም እና ደኅንነት አጀንዳ አንገብጋቢ ከሆኑ ፍላጎቶች አንዱ ተፈናቃይ እና ‘የተረሱ’ እናቶችን ጨምሮ፣ ተጋላጭ የሆኑ ሴቶችን ደኅንነት ማረጋገጥ ነው። የሴቶች፣ ሰላም እና ደኅንነት (WPS) ረቂቅ ብሔራዊ የድርጊት መርሐ-ግብር በወሲባዊ ጥቃት፣ ብዝበዛ እና ጥበቃ ላይ ያተኮሩ ግልጽ የሆኑ የሥራ መመሪያዎችንና የተመደበ በጀት ማካተቱን ማረጋገጥ ያስፈልጋል። የዜጎችን የሰውነት ክብርን ለመጠበቅ እና መረጋጋትን ለማስፈን የሰላም እና ደኅንነት ሥርዓቶችን መዘርጋት መሠረታዊ ነገር ነው።

The safety of vulnerable women, including those displaced and “left-behind” mothers, is an immediate ethical and structural demand of the WPS agenda. We urge all parties to ensure the Draft Action Plan includes explicit protocols and allocated resources dedicated to protection against sexual violence and exploitation. Establishing these safety measures is fundamental to restoring human dignity and stability in the region.
