TIMRAN conducted Women Peace building Advocacy Strategy validation session

#TIMRAN in collaboration with #GIZ-Civil Peace Service (CPS) conducted a validation session on a draft advocacy strategy to strengthen women’s engagement and inclusion in the Ethiopian peace building processes on March 13, 2025, in Addis Ababa.

The event is the second-round meeting among #women ambassadors, #parliamentarians, #government office representatives, #women from politics, #media practitioners, #women from CSOs, federation and association leaders, Gender advocates as well as #child parliamentarians.

The advocacy strategy focuses on women engagement in peace building processes including #dialogue, #negotiation, #mediation, and #reconciliation to achieve lasting peace in Ethiopia.

During the event, besides the legal framework incorporated in the FDRE constitution about women’s rights pragmatic solutions like advocating for the establishment of a national monitoring institution for women’s meaningful engagement and inclusion in all aspects of societal life forwarded.
