TIMRAN expressed a heartfelt gratitude to the former EHRC Women Commissioners

TIMRAN joined fellow Human Rights and Gender Justice organizations at the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission to express her heartfelt gratitude to Rakeb Mesele, Deputy Chief Commissioner and Rigbe Gebrehawaria, Commissioner for Women, Children, Older Persons, and Persons with Disabilities, for their dedication and leadership in promoting and protecting the rights of women, children, persons with disabilities, older persons, and broader human rights during their stay at the Commission.

We extend our sincere gratitude to #RakebMesele and #RigbeGebrehawaria for their commitment in advancing human rights in Ethiopia.

TIMRAN offers special thanks for your exemplary leadership and the solidarity you have consistently shown to the Ethiopian women.

The two commissioners resigned ahead of their term, next year, and TIMRAN is concerned on the issue in lieu of seeing such passionate and committed commissioners at vital positions like EHRC walking away from their roles. With great hope She expected in that the positions will be replaced with women emerging leaders.
