በአማራ ክልል ከሐምሌ 2015 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ዕድሜያቸው ከ8 እስከ 65 የሆኑ 2 ሺህ697 ሴቶች እና ሴት ሕፃናት ላይ የአስገድዶ መድፈር እና የጾታ ጥቃት መፈጸሙ ተዘግቧል። ከእነዚህም መካከል 45 በመቶ የሚሆኑት ሕፃናት ናቸው።

ይህ የከፋ ጥቃት የዜጎች ደኅንነት አለመጠበቁን የሚያሳይ በመሆኑ ተጠያቂነትን ማረጋገጥ አፋጣኝ ምላሽ ይሻል። ተጎጂዎችም የሕክምና እርዳታ፣ የሕግ ድጋፍ እንዲሁም ከደረሰባቸው ጥቃት ክብደት ጋር የሚመጣጠን ፍትሕ ሊያገኙ ይገባል።

Since July 2023, 2,697 cases of rape and sexual violence against women and girls reported in the Amhara region with ages ranges from 8 to 65. Among these 45 percent are minors.

This scale of violence exposes a collapse of protection. Therefore, accountability is urgent. Survivors need medical support, legal action, and justice that responds to the scale of harm.
