TIMRAN Concludes Three‑Day Transitional Justice Training & Joint Forum

TIMRAN has successfully concluded its three‑day capacity‑building training on Transitional Justice, held from March 3–5, 2026, with support from WPHF and NIMD. The training brought together women leaders, survivors, justice actors, and Women’s Rights Organizations from seven regions of Ethiopia, strengthening their understanding on key Transitional Justice pillars such as truth‑seeking, accountability, survivor‑centered reparations, institutional reform, reconciliation, and healing, all grounded in gender‑responsive and trauma‑informed approaches.

On March 6, the joint forum gathered all 100 trained women to reflect on shared lessons and collaboratively develop an advocacy priority, practical and evidence‑based recommendations for Ethiopia’s Transitional Justice process. The forum concluded with an outcome document outlining priorities to support future TJ legal and policy frameworks.

The event closed with a celebration of International Women’s Day, recognizing the leadership, resilience, and contributions of Ethiopian women to peace and justice.
