The Women’s Political Participation Community of Practice, co-chaired by TIMRAN and UN Women Ethiopia, organized a post-election reconvening meeting to reflect on the 7th General Election.

The meeting brought together CSOs, NEBE, EPPJC and development partners to share observation findings and experiences, discuss lessons learned, and identify practical recommendations to strengthen future efforts in preventing Violence Against Women in Elections (VAWiE). Discussions emphasized improving observer capacity, enhancing coordination among stakeholders, and promoting inclusive and accessible electoral processes for women.

TIMRAN remains committed to advancing women’s meaningful political participation and contributing to safer and more inclusive political spaces for women in Ethiopia.
